who is MMM?

I was a latch-key kid with two working parents, and every afternoon after school I’d call my mom at her office to get instructions on how to start dinner for our little family. Those over-the-phone cooking lessons from my mother—who was a wonderful cook—sparked my lifelong love of food. When I later started working in television production, I never imagined I’d end up making a living in the kitchen. But one summer morning, while I was on hiatus from the show I was working on, a good friend called. “I just pulled up in front of your house,” she said. “I need you to get in my car and come to work with me. My assistant just bailed, and I can’t do this job alone.”

And somehow, from that phone call, my career in food styling was born.
